Understanding Manual Sell Errors in WealthyBot: API Disconnections & Asset Visibility
🧠 Why You’re Getting an Error When Selling Manually
There are two common reasons this issue occurs:
1. Your API Connection Has Likely Disconnected
Over time, cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance, Coinbase, or others perform routine updates and security upgrades. If the API keys connecting your exchange to WealthyBot have not been updated, they can expire or break the connection.
➡️ In this case, WealthyBot cannot access your account to trigger trades, resulting in errors during manual sell attempts.
📌 Solution:
You will need to generate new API keys from your exchange and reconnect WealthyBot.
2. The Bot Already Closed the Trade – But WealthyBot Didn’t Register It
It’s possible that the bot already sold the asset, and the funds were returned to USDT in your exchange. However, due to a past sync issue, WealthyBot’s dashboard may still show the trade as open.
➡️ This creates a graphical or interface error, where WealthyBot reflects incorrect data because it missed the update from the exchange.
📌 Solution:
Check your exchange’s transaction history (Binance or Coinbase instructions below) to confirm whether the trade already closed. If it did, you can ignore the error inside WealthyBot, and optionally reset the bot dashboard.
🔐 Important Reminder: Your Funds Are Always Safe in Your Exchange
WealthyBot does not hold your funds. Your capital remains in your personal exchange account at all times.
WealthyBot uses API keys to trigger trades only
You can log in to your exchange at any time and manually manage or withdraw your assets
If there are errors inside WealthyBot, your assets are still accessible and safe in your exchange
🔍 How to Check Your Trades in Binance and Coinbase
🔹 Binance:
Log in to your Binance account
Go to Wallet > Transaction History
Use the filters to search for your past USDT pair trades
Review Trade History or Order History for sells related to the asset in question
🔹 Coinbase:
Log in to Coinbase
Click on “My Assets”
Select the relevant coin
Tap “Recent Transactions”
Review for any sell orders and completed conversions to USDT
🔧 Recommended Next Steps
Go to your exchange and check for any sell transactions involving the asset.
If the trade already closed, then the issue is visual only in WealthyBot.
If you confirm your API is outdated:
Delete the old API keys
Generate new ones in your exchange
Reconnect them inside your WealthyBot account

🗓️ Note on Older Trades (4+ Years Ago)
Given that these trades go back four years, it’s almost guaranteed that your exchange has undergone multiple upgrades—which likely disconnected the original API connection. This is very common over time and requires periodic reconnection to maintain sync with third-party apps like WealthyBot.
